About Us

The idea for the Cows started in 2008, when a few of the boys on UC Rez realised that UC lacked any sports team worth following. The main aim for this team is to strengthen the UC community and bring together all those living on Rez with all the former bozos still hangin around Canberra to have a bloody good laugh every Saturday afternoon, watching and playing the game they definitely dont play in heaven, Rugby League.

In 2009 the Cows will be playing in their inaugural season in the NSW Tertiary League which includes teams from Newcastle Uni, CSU Bathurst, Sydney Uni and UTS as well as many other tertiary institutions.

The club has had a brilliant start to their humble beginnings with over 70 playing members and over 520 social members including UC Lecturers and Wallaby and Brumbies Prop Benny Alexander already signed up for 2010.

The Cows train every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00pm at the UC Meadows (University of Canberra Oval 1, next to the UC Gym). So come on down and bring a friend if your interested in playing a social, but good standard of footy.
